Jean Charle Yaacoub earned his bachelor’s degree in computing from Queen’s University before pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) from the University of Toronto with a focus on AI. Currently, he serves as a Researcher at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center, where his work centers on the convergence of machine learning and precision oncology. In his role, Jean specializes in harnessing the power of graph neural networks (GNNs) to create intricate representations of proteins and drug molecules. These representations are instrumental in various downstream tasks, contributing to our understanding of drug efficacy and supporting precision medicine initiatives. Additionally, Jean is delving into the integration of generative models with personalized somatic mutation data for drug development, aiming to customize drug synthesis according to individual patient profiles.
