Willem is an AI Graduate Research Associate at Balyasny Asset Management (BAM), where he is working with their commodity investment team to improve forecasts of natural gas demand. Willem is also working towards completing his Master of Applied Computing (MScAC) at the University of Toronto, concentrating on data science. Previously, he worked as a Quantitative Analyst at BMO Capital Markets on their Equity Derivatives Sales and Trading team. Willem received his bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics Engineering from Queen’s University, specializing in Computing and Communications. Outside of work, he loves playing sports, doing puzzles, and hanging out with his dogs.
